Finally found your travel blog. Thanks for linking that post (to be sure, it is one of my two or three well structured posts).

RE: your taxi story in BA. I would say the transfer from hotel to bus station or bus to hotel must be the most stressful encounter in any developing country. You are your most vulnerable and worst physical state. I think key things to do are: always get a transfer from the hotel/hostel if possible and if if that's not possible, never get in a taxi that's just waiting there or with a driver trying to get you. Taxis moving along with disinterested drivers.
